Miss Calie was born and raised in Ambler, Pennsylvania, and started dancing at the age of three, and dancing competitively from age five to eighteen. She then pursued her passion and received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in business from DeSales University (DSU) in 2023. While at DeSales she gained plenty of knowledge and experience from running and managing an organization to choreographing and performing in numerous repertoires, some of which include the restaging of Martha Graham’s Steps in The Street, and Paul Taylor’s Cloven Kingdom. For her senior project, she cast, choreographed, and designed the costuming for her ten-minute piece titled disconnected. From 2021-2024 she has taught recreational and competitive dance that won judges awards and high score placings. She opened Cosmic Movement Dance Academy (CMDA) in 2024 and offers quality dance education to all students. She is the director and main choreographer for CMDA's competition team. Miss Calie is committed to motivating and challenging every dancer to reach their fullest potential, and inspiring students to learn and love the art of dance.
